Students learned about painting with hidden meanings. Analyzing different paintings and what the painting is. Adding context to the paintings. Students learned about warm and cool colors. As well as drawing from a reference upside down. Exercising their drawing skills. Using cool colors to draw their animals and warm colors to 'hide' their animal. Then creating red-tinted glasses to be able to see their animals.
Extension: The extension activity was to fill out a note card. Explain facts about the animal you chose. What is your animals favorite place or thing.
